Introducing SafeHard 700: Chromium Free Hardfacing Wire

In an era where workplace safety and environmental responsibility are paramount, the introduction of the chrome-free SafeHard 700 marks a significant milestone in chromium free hardface welding.

SafeHard 700 stands out with its unique composition that eliminates the risk of Chromium VI emissions -a known carcinogen during the welding process. This chrome-free feature not only reinforces our commitment to safety, but also helps our clients comply with rigorous health and safety regulations.

Its metallurgical design includes complex carbides of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and niobium, evenly distributed in a boron-hardened matrix. This composition enhances its wear resistance properties and maintains structural integrity at high temperatures, all without the use of chrome

SafeHard 700 boasts excellent weldability in all positions. Its metal-cored nature, combined with our proprietary formulation, provides smooth arc stability and exceptional feedability, making it versatile for both batch manufacturing and maintenance repairs.

Designed for exceptional performance in extreme conditions, SafeHard 700 is ideal for environments requiring high abrasion and impact resistance. With a hardness of 66 HRC post-weld and sustained high hardness at elevated temperatures—57 HRC at 600°C and 41 HRC at 700°C - this weld deposit is built to last.

In applications ranging from mining to civil engineering, SafeHard 700 reduces downtime and extends the service life of essential equipment such as drill heads, crusher drums, conveyors, and structures exposed to severe wear, like rails and crusher hammers.
