Castolin Eutectic Unveils New CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme Wearplates
Castolin Eutectic is thrilled to announce the launch of its groundbreaking CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates range.
This innovative product line represents a significant leap forward in wear protection technology, offering improved abrasion and impact resistance, minimal metal waste, and optimized efficiency.
Enhanced Durability and Performance
The new CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates are designed to deliver superior wear resistance, extending the service life of critical applications. The innovative higher-alloy composition provides 23% better G-65 abrasion resistance compared to previous models. This advancement ensures that the wearplates can withstand the harshest industrial environments, offering reliable protection and minimizing downtime. The coating hardness reaches 62 HRC.
Eco-Friendly Production Process
In line with Castolin Eutectic's commitment to sustainability, the production of CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates utilizes an energy-efficient process that significantly reduces the CO2 footprint. Approximately 70% of the production energy is sourced from renewable resources, making these wearplates an eco-friendly choice for industries focused on reducing their environmental impact.
Optimized Material Use and Reduced Waste
The larger size of the CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates means a 20% larger coated area than previous models, effectively reducing scrap and maximizing material utilization. The dimensions of the hardfacing are 2930 x 1366 mm, providing a substantial 4.00 m² of coverage. This optimization not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes to cost savings by minimizing waste.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation, we have upgraded our production process in Poland and developed a new formulation for our 'eXtreme' wearplates. The new CDP 4666 DXWn wearplates are a testament to our dedication to providing ecological cutting-edge solutions in wear protection technology," says Martin Kirchgassner, CTO.
Versatile and Flexible Application
CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates are versatile and easy to roll or bend, allowing for customized shaping and fitting using standard techniques such as plasma arc, water jet, or laser. This flexibility ensures that the wearplates can be adapted to various industrial applications, whether reinforcing existing components or creating standalone constructions.
Castolin Eutectic's new CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates represent a pioneering step in industrial sustainability and wear protection. By combining enhanced durability, optimized material use, and eco-friendly production, these wearplates set a new standard for performance and reliability.
