Diffusion Coating involved the application of a non-corrosive layer onto metallic components to improve the corrosion, oxidation and erosion resistance of the component. The principle of diffusion coating is frequently used to apply aluminide coatings onto gas turbine component which operate in extreme conditions. The Castolin Eutectic Workshop in Newcastle works closely with diffusion coating service providers to provide end to end support for these types of applications.
