Castolin Eutectic sponsors climbing competition in Spain

20-compescalada

Believing in young talent and a healthy mind in a healthy body dictum, Castolin Eutectic sponsored a climbing competition on 17 and 18 June in the town of Pinto, next to Madrid, Spain. The competition was aimed at both children and adults, involving climbing of a tough vertical 15m wall.

The first day was dedicated to the children competition where 15 bravehearts aged nine to 16 years old competed by climbing two steep walls. All the 15 young adventurers were considered successful in taking up the challenge and rewarded with Castolin Eutectic bags and caps, along with hugs by our Spanish team members for their incontestable courage and energy.

On 18th June, the adult competition challenged 14 daredevils to climb four big walls in progressive difficulty order. The Castolin Eutectic climbers have successfully finished the ascent despite having to employ extreme crack climbing techniques with full body weight pressure. The winners in both male and female categories received Castolin Eutectic penknives and plenty of other presents.

What do welding and brazing have in common with wall climbing? Refined technical skills, smooth movement and good balance. Congratulations to all winners!

How can we help you?
